Homeless Housing Options in Butler County

HACB does not provide direct homeless shelter services. However, it offers two programs designed to support individuals experiencing chronic homelessness. If you are in immediate need of housing, please contact the providers listed below for prompt assistance.

Immediate Supports

Butler County

Catholic Charites manage Butler County’s waiting list for all housing programs and provide the following services:

  • Emergency Solutions Grant: Housing relocation, stabilization, and rental assistance to rehouse those without shelter and prevent losing their homes

  • Family Connections: Short-Term Emergency Family Housing with supportive services

  • Home Again: Permanent supportive housing families with children, in particular those struggling with mental illness, includes vocational and educational assistance, life skills training, rental subsidies, and referrals to substance abuse and mental health treatments

  • Housing Problem-Solving Services: Creative solutions for those who are unhoused or in jeopardy of losing housing. 

  • PATH: Permanent supportive housing for young adults between 18 and 24 struggling with mental illness and/or addiction, includes vocational and educational assistance, life skills training, rental subsidies, and referrals to substance abuse and mental health treatments

  • Rental Assistance: Catholic Charities provide up to one month’s rental assistance to help individuals and families avert immediate housing crises

Deshon Place

  • Deshon Place II is a transitional housing facility for veterans experiencing homelessness. Residents may live there up to 2 years to acquire skills necessary for living out in the community. Residents must meet the federal guidelines for being homeless.

Franklin Court Chronically Homeless

Franklin Court is located on Kaufman Drive near the City of Butler. This is a Permanent Supportive Housing Program, with 5 units available to those who meet the qualifications of chronically homeless.
