Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation Program

The Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation Program is designed to assist very low-, low-, and moderate-income households with essential home improvements that prevent blight and ensure safe, habitable living conditions.

Program Guidelines

Program guidelines include:

  • Manufactured housing must have a permanent foundation

  • Home must be owner occupied

  • Income-based eligibility

  • Must meet additional grant guidelines


Eligible Funding Uses

Funding may be used for a variety of improvements to your home including: windows, roofing, electric, plumbing, heating, and obvious structural defects.

Funding is limited, and not all eligible residents are guaranteed assistance.

Waiting List:

The program operates from a waiting list for available funds in each designated target area of Butler County; applicants must complete the application below to be placed on the waiting list for consideration. Applications are processed in the order received and prioritized according to program eligibility, target area designation, and available funding; being placed on the waiting list does not guarantee funding but ensures your household will be considered when resources become available. Provide complete and accurate information on the application to avoid delays, and contact the Housing and Redevelopment Authorities of the County of Butler with any questions or to update your application status.
